This report presents the findings and recommendations of independent experts who evaluated two Better Life Options programs, one in a rural area and the other in a semi-urban area. The experts judged the programs’ effectiveness and determined ways to improve the programs. The evaluation team used surveys, focus group discussions, in-depth interviews and case studies to collect primary quantitative and qualitative data. CEDPA launched the Better Life Options program as a global initiative to challenge gender inequity and expand the life options of young women. The program model works through partnerships with local organizations to implement a holistic approach that enhances girls’ and young women’s choices with regard to health, reproductive health, employment, education and civic participation.
