Susan Farnsworth Appointed CEDPA's Chief Operating OfficerFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 21, 2008
Ms. Farnsworth has over 25 years of experience in the field of international relief and development, including 13 years living and working in countries including Mali, Niger, Senegal, Somalia and Tanzania.
Her field work has included managing relief operations and designing and implementing innovative programs in women’s village savings and loans groups, HIV/AIDS, and livelihood security.
She has directed field operations for non-governmental organizations, including grant management, advocacy, program quality and staff security. Ms. Farnsworth also has led institution-wide strategic planning and budgeting processes while a senior manager at CARE USA for almost a decade.
Ms. Farnsworth has a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and a Masters of Arts from George Washington University in Science, Technology and Public Policy. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut.
