A Note about the Situation in Egypt   
As we watch current events on the streets of Cairo and other Egyptian cities, our thoughts turn to all current and former CEDPA staff, our 350-plus Egyptian alumni and the many other Egyptians with whom we have worked over the years. For close to two decades, CEDPA worked to improve the lives of women and girls in Egypt and continues to build the capacity of women leaders through our leadership workshops. We hope that the CEDPA family is well and that changes in Egypt will provide greater opportunity for all who live and work in the country. We hope that the voices of our alumni – and of all women – will be sought out and heard as the future of the country is debated. We also hope that the transition will be peaceful and that violence can be avoided. Again, our thoughts are with all of our friends and colleagues in Egypt. Sincerely,
