Remembering Amy Coen   
All members of the CEDPA family join the international family planning community in expressing our sorrow for the passing of Amy Coen, former President and CEO of Population Action International. She fought a brave battle against cancer for nearly two years – and inspired all of us in the process. She showed such grace and good humor in this personal battle, as well as in her professional efforts to expand the availability of family planning services around the world. Amy was a true leader for our cause. She brought us all together and built a true community of NGOs, thus making a huge difference in how all of us worked. As her husband Gerry announced on February 28th: “Her great heart is still…Her spirit is now loose in the world…” We already feel that spirit and recommit ourselves to the battles that Amy so courageously fought in protecting the rights of women and families to have universal access to reproductive health services. Our thoughts are also with Gerry and her entire family – and we thank them for so generously sharing Amy with us. Sincerely,
