CEDPA Engages the Faith Community as Partners in GHAIN's Comprehensive HIV/AIDS StrategyCEDPA/Nigeria mobilizes faith-based and community organizations to strengthen and expand the delivery of HIV/AIDS services as a partner in the Global HIV/AIDS Initiative Nigeria (GHAIN) project. GHAIN is funded by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief through the U.S. Agency for International Development. By 2009, GHAIN’s partners plan to treat 350,000 people living with HIV/AIDS with anti-retroviral drugs, prevent over a million new infections, and provide care and support to almost two million HIV-affected individuals. As a recognized expert in social mobilization, CEDPA/Nigeria works with local organizations to increase testing, treatment and care of people living with HIV/AIDS.
