Senegal Youth Assessment Report: The Informal Sector and HIV/AIDS
This study outlines the strategies currently in use in Senegal for the prevention of sexually transmitted infections and HIV/AIDS. CEDPA aims to build on the success of past programs by using similar strategies. In addition to reviewing adolescent reproductive health materials, the evaluation team selected 46 organizations in seven of Senegal's ten regions to participate in discussion groups. The study identifies three strategies to improve ARH: increasing knowledge to produce positive behavior; increasing access to services and programs; and empowering youths to make informed decisions concerning their health.
