Position: GWIM Intern Location: Washington, DC Reports To: Deputy Director, Leadership & Capacity Building Duration: May 21-July 6, 2012 A daily stipend will be provided Background: The Global Women in Management (GWIM) program strengthens women’s program management and leadership abilities to create positive and sustainable changes at all levels of society—personal, organizational, community and national. The program leverages CEDPA’s 35+ year history of women’s leadership programs and responds to the call for greater involvement of women in development efforts and to a development context that demands increasingly higher levels of management accountability and programmatic results. The intern’s primary work is to assist CEDPA staff to implement this 4-week program in Washington, DC. Qualifications: The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in sociology, anthropology, international education, African or Asian or Latin American studies, public health, management, or other area of relevant study. Ability to work with other cultures is highly desired. Strong writing skills are important. The candidates should have proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher and other Microsoft applications. Proficiency in Spanish or Arabic is desired but not required. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES:
