Joy Spratley Wynn – Manager, Development and Fundraising
Joy Spratley Wynn is the Development and Fundraising Manager. She has over 20 years operational, management and administrative experience in the non-profit and small business arena, including ten years in program, project and business development. Joy has co-authored a book that applies the principles of Total Quality Management to child welfare services. Joy has a bachelor’s degree in Applied Science from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Science and a master's degree from Notre Dame of Maryland University (formerly the College of Notre Dame of Maryland).
COMMUNICATIONS
Eva Cantrell – Manager, Communications
As the Communications Manager, Eva Cantrell is responsible for CEDPA’s Web presence, publications, events and outreach. Having worked in CEDPA's communications department since 2006, Eva focuses on bringing CEDPA's programs to external audiences. Prior to working at CEDPA, Eva worked as an associate in communications for four years at a corporate real estate firm. Eva has studied for a M.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago and has a B.A. in Psychology from Florida State University.

Danielle Grant – Director, International Programs
As CEDPA’s Director for International Programs, Danielle Grant provides leadership and guidance to ensure effective and efficient management of programs, working with the technical team in implementing country programs. Danielle has 25 years of experience in family planning/reproductive health and civil society advocacy for international health programs, including five years of in-country technical assistance. Prior to her current role, she was Director of CEDPA’s Health Policy Initiative, Task Order 1 project and Francophone Regional Manager. Danielle holds a B.A. in history from the Pennsylvania State University, and an M.A. in International Development and a M.S. in Management Information Systems from American University.
Anne Jorgensen – USAID Health Policy Project Team Leader and Technical Director, CEDPA
Anne Jorgensen is CEDPA’s team leader and the Technical Director of Capacity Building for the Health Policy Project, which strengthens individual and institutional capacity for policy, advocacy, and governance for strategic, equitable, and sustainable health programming. Anne brings more than 25 years of experience in project management and capacity building, including 12 years with USAID’s POLICY Projects and the Health Policy Initiative (HPI) where she has managed technical, regional, and country programs in family planning/reproductive health and HIV and AIDS policy and advocacy. She has worked in all USAID regions, with extensive experience in capacity building and technical assistance in civil society participation, advocacy, networking, sustainability, policy implementation, and training of trainers. She has an M.A. in International Communication from American University.
Rose Khasiala-Amolo – Senior Technical Advisor, HIV/AIDS
Rose Khasiala Amolo is the Senior Technical Advisor for HIV/AIDS at CEDPA. She brings more than 11 years experience including six years of in-country work-experience in community systems strengthening to provide quality integrated HIV/RH/FP services. Rose is responsible for providing technical assistance and oversight for CEDPA’s community-based HIV prevention, care and support interventions. In addition, she is responsible for community engagement and behavior change interventions in reproductive health, family planning and maternal and child health programs that focus on creating demand for and use of high impact health services. Ms. Amolo has served as Interim Chief of Party on a USAID funded Positive Living project in Nigeria. Ms. Amolo holds a MPH in Nutrition from the New York University, and a Bachelors of Education from Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya. Ms. Amolo is fluent in Kiswahili.
Rebecca Sewall, Ph.D. – Senior Technical Advisor, Democracy & Governance
Rebecca Sewall is a Senior Technical Advisor for Democracy and Governance at CEDPA. She brings over 20 years of experience in mainstreaming gender and social inclusion issues in reproductive health and development programming. Prior to joining CEDPA, Rebecca was the Gender Specialist with IntraHealth/Extending Service Delivery Project where she designed the Healthy Images of Manhood project to address traditional gender roles associated with negative health outcomes. She received her B.A. in Anthropology from Tufts University, her M.A. in Anthropology from the American University in Cairo, and her Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University.
Laurette Cucuzza – Senior Technical Advisor, Reproductive Health
As Senior Technical Advisor for Reproductive Health at CEDPA, Laurette Cucuzza’s current responsibilities include strategic planning, design, management, technical assistance and implementation of projects in Nepal, India, Mali and Nigeria. She represents CEDPA on technical working groups and has experience in gender analysis and integration. Laurette served in the Peace Corps in the Solomon Islands and received her M.P.H. in International Health & Development from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
Tamarah Moss-Knight, Ph.D - Technical Advisor, Health Policy Project
Tamarah Moss-Knight is a Technical Advisor for the Health Policy Project (HPP). She leads a youth policy effort in West Africa, as well as manages activities and provides technical assistance for HPP Caribbean and Jamaica. Prior to joining CEDPA, she worked as a consultant in the areas of family planning, HIV and AIDS, advocacy, qualitative and mixed-methods research, and capacity building. Her more than 10 years of experience in the US and internationally includes working on issues related to adolescents, health and social service providers, sexual minorities, and immigrant communities. Tamarah received her PhD in Social Work and Graduate Certificate in International Studies from Howard University, as well as a MPH, MSW, and BS in Biopsychology, from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
Amy Sunseri - Technical Advisor, Health Policy Project
Amy Sunseri is a Technical Advisor for gender and capacity development for the Health Policy Project (HPP). Previous to joining CEDPA, Amy worked as Senior Capacity Development manager for an INGO in Vietnam, where she provided technical leadership on CSO capacity development for the REACH program, a USAID-funded HIV/AIDS project, and managed the organization’s Global Fund award. Amy has provided technical assistance to a diverse range of civil society, multilateral, and government stakeholders throughout Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia. She holds an MA in International Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Israel Abebe – Senior Associate, International Programs
Israel Abebe is the Senior Associate for International Programs. She works closely with the Program Team to assist managing CEDPA field offices and programs. She assists in streamlining administration and organizational systems and provides backstopping for the Senior Director for International Programs and Senior Technical Advisors. Israel has an M.A. in Economics from the University of Delaware and B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Salem College, N.C.
LEADERSHIP & CAPACITY BUILDING
Sue Richiedei – Director, Leadership & Capacity Building
As the Director of the Leadership & Capacity Building team, Sue Richiedei brings over 30 years of experience in health sector project design, capacity building, management, and monitoring and evaluation in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Sue has managed technical teams and global and country programs to strengthen individual and institutional capacities in family planning and reproductive health advocacy, quality of care, sustainability and strategic planning. She has extensive experience building women’s leadership and management competencies for improved HIV/AIDS and RH programs and policy change. She has a Masters in Human Resource Development from George Washington University.
Xiaoping Tian – Deputy Director, Leadership & Capacity Building
As the Deputy Director of the Leadership & Capacity Building team at CEDPA, Xiaoping Tian is responsible for the research, design and evaluation of CEDPA’s women’s leadership programs and facilitates key workshop sessions. Prior to her role as Deputy Director, she was Senior Technical Advisor for the Gates Foundation-funded “Women’s Leadership Program”. Xiaoping earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Case Western Reserve University and an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco.
Ketty Jaramillo – Manager, Workshops & Alumni Affairs
Ketty has worked with CEDPA since 1989 as the Manager for CEDPA’s Leadership & Capacity Building programs. Her position includes oversight of logistics, liaison with donor agencies, supervision of administrative staff and interns and manager of the alumni database. Prior to CEDPA she worked as a project assistant in government and private-sector organizations. She has completed three years of Business and Marketing studies and two years of Business Management at the University of Carabobo, Venezuela.
Kate Mangino – Senior Technical Advisor, Leadership & Capacity Building
Kate Mangino is the Technical Advisor, Leadership & Capacity Building at CEDPA. She is an organizational development specialist with specific experience in designing and delivering training in a variety of topics including leadership, management and communications. She also has expertise in organizational capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, gender and facilitation. She holds an M.P.A. in International Public Service and Development from Rutgers University, Camden.
Mollie Connell – Associate, Leadership & Capacity Building
As an Associate with CEDPA’s Leadership and Capacity Building team, Mollie provides assistance with all administrative and logistical aspects of CEDPA’s workshops and seminars as well as support for the CEDPA Alumni Coaching Program. She has interned for NEW Course, an organization working to find sustainable ways to connect women to a global resource support system. Mollie received her BA from George Mason University in French and Global Affairs, with a concentration in Global Inequalities and Responses.
