Gift Planning
By making CEDPA a beneficiary of your will, living trust, life insurance policy or retirement plan, you will share in our commitment to women and youth and ensure that they are given a chance to succeed. You will strengthen the global community of women and girls. Your charitable gift will also offer significant benefits to your estate. Bequests and Living Trusts A gift included in your will or living trust is one simple way to establish a lasting legacy. For many donors a bequest offers the opportunity to make a more substantial gift than would be possible during the donor’s lifetime. Other donors view a bequest as an opportunity to round out a lifetime of giving with a lasting legacy to CEDPA. Because of the tax advantage associated with a bequest to charitable institutions, assets from your estate that would otherwise go directly to the government can instead be given directly to CEDPA to further our mission of empowering women. A bequest is deductible for federal estate-tax purposes, and there is no limit on the amount of the estate-tax charitable deduction your estate can take. Life insurance and retirement assets, such as pension plans or Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) can be used to make significant gifts to CEDPA. Sample bequest language
