CEDPA is a partner on a number of Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IQCs), which provide for an indefinite quantity of products and/or services to be supplied by contractors to the U.S. Agency for International Development within stated limits and timeframes by responding to specific task orders.

Women in Development Gender Matters: Integrating Gender - Achieving Results (2002 -2007)
CEDPA is part of an implementing consortium, led by Chemonics International, on the Women’s Legal Rights Initiative in Southern Africa. This project supports the effort to strengthen and promote women’s rights by enhancing opportunities for women to take part fully in the economic, social and political workings of their societies. There are five components being implemented in four countries within Southern Africa: 1) Legal Literacy in Lesotho; 2) Community Radio Programs on Women’s Rights in South Africa; 3) Advocacy in Action Manuals for Mozambique and Swaziland; and 4) Anti-trafficking Legislation in Mozambique.
 
AIDS Support and Technical Assistance Resources Contract (2007 – 2012)

CEDPA, under a consortium led by the Training Resources Group, won the right to bid on up to $200 million in task orders under a new indefinite quantity contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development. The new program, AIDS Support and Technical Assistance Resources Contract Sector 2 (AIDSTAR 2), will provide institutional capacity building support as part of a global effort to expand high-quality HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services over the next five years in countries that benefit from the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. The task orders also will strengthen the capacity of health ministries, national AIDS commissions, and district and local nongovernmental organizations to improve and develop HIV prevention services worldwide.

ACCESS: Access to clinical and community maternal, neonatal and women’s health services (2004 – 2009)
CEDPA is part of a team led by JHPIEGO that promotes continuous care by linking households to clinics, community health workers and hospitals. These links are provided through community interventions, clinical interventions, policy and advocacy activities, and postpartum family planning.
 
Building Recovery and Reform through Democratic Governance (2005-2010)
As part of a team led by Associates in Rural Development, CEDPA supports USAID’s efforts to promote democratic governance by reinforcing state legitimacy, improving state capacity for effective public management, and facilitating critical policy and institutional reforms. CEDPA brings strength and experience in building women’s leadership within and outside government. We also add expertise in gender, gender-based violence, advocacy, and conflict resolution with government and civil society.
 
The Capacity Project: Planning, Developing, and Supporting the Health Workforce (2004 – 2009)
CEDPA is part of an implementation consortium led by IntraHealth that works to improve the state of health systems in developing countries, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. The focus for this project is on 1) improving workforce planning and leadership; 2) developing better education and training programs; and 3) strengthening systems to support workforce performance.
 
Instability, Crisis and Recovery Programs (2005-2010)
CEDPA is part of a team led by Associates in Rural Development that supports the efforts of USAID’s Conflict Management and Mitigation Office in three broad areas: 1) early warning and analysis of conflict, fragility and state failure; 2) the development of new assistance models and program options that are better able to deal with the causes and consequences of conflict, instability and fragility; and 3) technical leadership and Agency-wide field support, training and outreach in conflict management and mitigation. CEDPA brings its expertise in grassroots gender and youth integration to the consortium. Potential activities for CEDPA under this IQC include: addressing destabilizing issues through programs focused on women’s political participation, youth development and HIV/AIDS; contributing to peace processes by facilitating the participation of marginalized groups and encouraging dialogue among conflictive sectors; and developing creative approaches to and providing technical assistance for community mobilization, advocacy and training.
 
Project/Program Management Training (2005-2009)
PPMT assists the Training and Education Team of the Office of Human Resources at USAID to provide comprehensive program management training services for over 7,000 USAID staff. CEDPA is included in the consortium, led by International Resources Group, working to ensure that a wide range of USAID’s staff has the knowledge and skills required to understand Agency business, manage planning and budget cycles, develop and manage Agency projects and programs, and carry out technical oversight.
 
Technical Assistance and Support Contract II (2003-2008)
The TASC II project is designed to provide technical assistance to support USAID activities in all areas of global health, including maternal and child health, nutrition, family planning and reproductive health, infectious disease, and HIV/AIDS. CEDPA is part of a team of TASC II Global Health contractors called healthCONNECT, led by Emerging Markets Groups, Ltd.
 
Technical Assistance and Support Contract 3 (2007 - 2011)
The TASC3 project is designed to provide technical assistance to support USAID activities in all areas of global health, including maternal and child health, nutrition, family planning and reproductive health, infectious disease, and HIV/AIDS. CEDPA is part of a team of TASC3 Global Health contractors called healthCONNECT, led by Emerging Markets Groups, Ltd.
